USFWS Refuge Invasive Species Survey

This survey currently exists for reference purposes only. Data collection has been discontinued. Any information entered will not be recorded.

This National Invasive Species Survey was developed for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Wildlife Refuge System by the Biological Resource Division of the U.S. Geological Survey and the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State University. The primary goal of this effort is to survey and report on the status of invasive plants, animals and diseases, beginning with a questionnaire survey of refuge managers and staff. This effort will leverage support for invasive species budget initiatives and improved biological inventory for the Refuge System. This survey is not an evaluation or judgment of current management practices or priorities, and followup control efforts will depend on individual refuge operation priorities.

Thank you for taking the time to fully complete this important survey. Again, the products of this survey are designed to assist managers and leverage funding for future initiatives, so please do complete the survey. Please contact us if you have questions or supplemental data to send. Send e-mail messages to nwrinvasives@nrel.colostate.edu, or call Sara Simonson (970) 491-0410, Dave Barnett (970) 491-2302, or Tom Stohlgren (970) 491-1980.

Sincerely, Thomas J. Stohlgren
