Return to previous page Refuge Data Description The refuge data displays the information reported by each refuge that responded to the survey. Once a specific refuge is selected from the list (link) of refuges, the following information is available: Contact Information - information about the person who responded to the survey. Natural Resources - the refuge characteristics, natural resource management tools, and the extent of native species information. Refuge Cover Types - total cover of different vegetation types on each refuge. Cover type classes are adopted and abbreviated from the National Vegetation Mapping Standard (NVMS). Invasive Species Issues - the general extent of the invasive species problem and approach to the management. Invaded Habitat Types - those habitats on each refuge that have been invaded by non-native and non-invasive species. Non-native Plants - general information about the presence of non-native plant species, methods used to collect data, and data formats. Non-native Plant Species - information about specific non-native plant species including inventory efforts, cover, distribution, and control techniques. Non-indigenous Animals - general information about the presence of non-indigenous animal species, methods used to collect data, and data formats. Non-indigenous Animal Species - information about specific non-indigenous animal species including inventory efforts, cover, distribution, and control techniques. Plant Diseases - general information about the presence of plant diseases, methods used to collect data, and data formats. Specific Plant Diseases - information about specific plant diseases including inventory efforts, cover, distribution, and control techniques. Animal Diseases - general information about the presence of animal diseases, methods used to collect data, and data formats. Specific Animal Diseases - information about specific animal diseases including inventory efforts, cover, distribution, and control techniques. References - any printed and published material about invasive species. Early Detection Lists - Non-native Plant Species - the non-native plants species that occur in the county around the refuge but were not reported to occur on the refuge. Early Detection Lists - Non-indigenous Aquatic Animal Species - the non-indigenous aquatic animal species that occur in the drainage (8-digit Hydrologic Unit Code) around the refuge but were not reported to occur on the refuge. Early Detection Lists - Non-indigenous Bird Species - the non-indigenous bird species that occur in the county around the refuge but were not reported to occur on the refuge. The information reported by each refuge, as well as the regional or early warning lists associated with each refuge are also available. |
